Spam Policy

Here at Plick we take spam abuse very seriously and do not tolerate any behaviour that is not compliant with the Australian Federal Government Spam Laws.

These laws came into effect on Saturday April 10th 2004.

Although we abide by the Spam laws in Australia, many countries now have anti spamming laws that include heavy civil and/or criminal charges, please check your country's laws for more specific details.

If you have spam abuse to report email us at support@plick.com

What is the definition of Spam?

The Spam Act in Australia refers to spam as "unsolicited commercial electronic messaging". The Act makes it quite clear that messages should only be sent to an address when it is known that the person responsible for that address has consented to receive it.

How do I ensure I’m not doing something illegal?

Businesses need to comply with the provisions of the Spam Act when sending commercial electronic messages. To ensure that you are compliant with the Spam Act, you should consider the following three steps:

Consent - Only send commercial electronic messages with the recipients' consent (This is your responsibility).

Identify - Include clear and accurate information about the person or business that is responsible for sending the commercial electronic message (Plick does this automatically).

Unsubscribe - Ensure that a functional unsubscribe facility is included in all your commercial electronic messages. Deal with unsubscribe requests promptly (Plick does this automatically).
